You may also contact the state’s Department of Insurance which publish consumer complaint ratios for the insurer’s licensed to do business in that state. You will be able to see the ratio of complaints this certain insurer received.

You may also check with J.D. Powers rating. They collects data from people and rate them according to coverage options, price, claims handling, satisfaction with company representatives and the overall experience.
